Ritalin, in my short experience, was very good at making you feel "present and mentally awake," as long as you have the dosage right. I think the downsides outweigh the benefits, though. For short periods, it made me feel on top of the world, like I'd just climbed Everest. It made me confident, to say the least. Unfortunately,it also made me feel anxious like standing at the podium before a speech, or showing up to school in your underwear =). I used the "quick release" type at different intervals and dosages for < 6 months), and don't recommend it unless you want to feel like you are on crack.

Another funny thing about "ADD" or "ADHD" is that "we" have no problem concentrating when we are doing something we actually want to do.

Anyway, stay clear of drugs. They are only a temporary fix, and most will mess you up one way or another.

hahaha, yeah - i totally have "selective ADD". Math, i can't concentrate enough to do it - however I totally kick *** at monkeyball, and i can play it for like 9 hours straight and never lose my edge. It's almost like a curse.

I don't take pills for colds or being sick.

I'd have to be seriously jacked up to take medicine.

Yeah, but as long as you know it's escapism and temporary, swallow up!

Speaking of meds. I've been warding off a cold for the last month and last night it started to catch up with me. I took some day quil today before I go to work and I forgot how much psudoephedrine wires you, omg, I feel like I'm on speed or something. Especially in conjunction with creatine. Caffiene in the form of rockstar probably doesn't help too much either. lol
