The other voice of Christianity

Believe it or not, there are actually modern Christians who are truly in favor of peace and social justice (and no, tin foil hats is not a pre-req for membership)

They claim to be Christians, but it's actually a ploy to convert you to liberalism.
Read a few of their perspective articles. In one, it suggests that it's ok for a pro-life person to vote for the pro-baby killer because the abortion rate was up under Reagan and down during Clinton. They are just another political front.

Rationalize it all you want... killing live babies is wrong.

These are the same group that think Gay marriage is AOK. They can kiss my grits.

Of course, seeing that the Catholic Church is the only Christian church.
All the other "churches" that split off are actually heretics & are doomed to eternal damnation.

Well, that's what they taught me at Catholic school.

According to the Galatians, in the New Testament, the fruits of the spirit are:
Love
Joy
Peace
Patience
Kindness
Goodness
Faithfulness
Gentleness
Self Control

I will leave it up to each of you to determine if politicians from either side of the aisle exhibit these fruits.
My personal opinion is that we have not seen a US President which exhibited many of these qualities since Jimmy Carter, who was *gasp* a Democrat!

Of course it was Carter who signed the Findings that authorized the CIA to arm and train all the guys who became the Taliban and Al Qaeda, and who killed ~20,000 Soviet soldiers.

You are correct. And as I said, I will leave it up to you, the reader, to determine whom of our leaders has shown fruits of the spirit.

Not that it is particularly relevant to the discussion, but I find it interesing to note that George Bush Sr. was director of the CIA at that point in time.

American foreign policy since WW2 is full of examples such as the above. We have trained and armed dictatorships around the world for a variety of reasons...and now some wonder why there is so much anti-American sentiment in the world.
