Obama has a Muslim name, he is not Muslim.
He had attended a Muslim school as a child, he is not Muslim.
I have a Protestant name (Jeremy) Derived from a Hebrew name (Jeremiah) and I went to a Catholic school.
I am neither of those three.
Obama belongs to the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, to the best of my knowledge, there has never been a mosque with the words "Church of Christ" in it

Jeff, I know that you don't hate ppls, but lets face it, there are A LOT of people who seriously believe this and hate him simply because of the fact... and that's WRONG!

Hating people that hate "******s" is just as wrong as those that hate "******s."
Fortunately, we have a certain amount of Freedom of speech.
The same freedom that allows me to walk down the street, yelling, "I hate ******s!" as loud as I want is the freedom that allows you to say, "I hate Paul!!"

still doesn't make someone who hates someone because they are muslim "right". Just cause you can legally do something doesn't make it "right". I mean to me, why hate anyone cause of their religion. It just doesn't make sense to me.
Or why hate someone cause they are white/black/asian etc. Or because they have blue eyes, or black hair...

my people have hundreds of years of persecution by the hands of muslims, but, we don't hate them (well, most don't. Some do of course).

I'm beginning to think the same... cause all this time I hear some social conservatives "it's the Kenyan Dad"...now it's the step dad...
I think the few news groups taking a trip down there to find out is proof enough that it wasn't a madrasa.
and I'll ask again, do ppl hate muslims straight up cause they are muslims!?! why don't you guys just ****ing grow some ***** this time and just be prejudice if that's what you are, and say that you hate muslims. As far as hating someone because of their religious beliefs, it depends.
If those beliefs call for the oppression of women, call for the killing of those that hold contrary beliefs, killing people in the name of their god, etc. then yes, I hate them.
You cannot arrive at a compromise when the other party wants to kill you.
Anyone can find all of these things in all of the major religious texts.
