King Barry violates Constitution?

A Troubling START

First, the Constitution reads:

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur;

President Obama leaves Moscow today happy to tout a breakthrough on arms control. The "joint understanding" with Russia pledges to replace the 1991 Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty with a new agreement -- the niftily named "New START" -- by year's end. This "moral" example, we are supposed to believe, will eventually lead to the nuclear-free world the President first promised this spring in Prague
Barry signs a treaty with Russia w/o following the rules.

In advance of Obama's departure Sunday, a White House official told reporters the presidents expect to announce progress on negotiations that could lead to a treaty to replace the START I agreement, which expires Dec. 5........

The White House said Sunday that if an agreement comes too late for Senate ratification by Dec. 5, it would look for ways to enforce some aspects on an executive level while waiting for ratification.
Paul, reread your quotes, no treaty has been signed yet.

I'm sure that part was hard to miss under all of the ultra right wing rhetoric.

Please stop pointing out the flaws in Paul's eager attempts to bash Obama, you are ruining his fun.

Also Paul, quit it with the "Barry" term. Weren't you in the service? Why not conduct yourself as such and be respectful even if you don't agree with his actions. I don't recall many (if any) anti Bush people referring to him as "Georgey."

Barry, does seem to be working an executive privilege. While he expresses his compassion for the world he's selling the Unites States down the river.

I would concede that the Bush equivalent would be "Dubya".

"Barry" is much less annoying than "The One" or "Messiah".

He went by "Barry" at one point in his life...when it was convenient.
Now it's not.
How's "The POTUS formally known as Barry" sound?

George was referred to as "Bushy" by many a Leftist...

I was asking a question: Has/will Barry exceed his powers by signing a treaty w/o prior consent of Congress?

US-Russian Arms Negotiators "Under the Gun," Might Temporarily Bypass Senate Ratification for Treaty

MOSCOW -- With the clock running out on a new US-Russian arms treaty before the previous Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, or START, expires on December 5, a senior White House official said Sunday said that the difficulty of the task might mean temporarily bypassing the Senate’s constitutional role in ratifying treaties by enforcing certain aspects of a new deal on an executive levels and a “provisional basis” until the Senate ratifies the treaty.
Why have rules?
I mean, the Constitution is just a document, correct?

Obama is a naive phony. Before your very eyes a socialist revolution is underway. The United States as we knew it; The United States which was intended, is no more. Obama's not the only one to blame. This is the change the idiots want, so be it. Just let it be known there's no comin' back.

When did anyone say it was inconvenient going by "Barry"?

Agreed that Bush was given several lame nicknames.

Then it wouldn't be a treaty w/o Senate's approval. Probably just some crafty executive order.

Don't bother....no one here that voted for Barr..I mean Mr Obama, will admit they ****ed up.

But here's more **** coming down the pike that can end the America that I took an oath to defend:

ATTORNEY GENERAL TO CLASSIFY PRO-LIFE, PRO-GUN AMERICANS AS TERRORISTS
An amendment to a bill swiftly moving through the US Congress will allow the Obama Administration's Attorney General to classify Americans as domestic terrorists if they are pro-life, pro-gun and anti-big government.

"This amendment is part and parcel of the trend in this country to suppress dissent by patriots by calling them domestic terrorists," he added.
HR 2749: Totalitarian Control of the Food Supply

Some of the more alarming provisions in the bill are:

* HR 2749 would impose an annual registration fee of $500 on any “facility” that holds, processes, or manufactures food.

HR 2749 would empower FDA to regulate how crops are raised and harvested. It puts the federal government right on the farm, dictating to our farmers.

HR 2749 would give FDA the power to order a quarantine of a geographic area, including “prohibiting or restricting the movement of food or of any vehicle being used or that has been used to transport or hold such food within the geographic area.”

hahaha

THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING!

Just as Bush didn't "ruin" the country, and neither did Clinton before him, "Barry" won't either. Or are you people unaware of the fact that domestically the power is held in the Supreme Court and the Legislative branches?

Really? And rising?

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- The number of Americans filing initial unemployment claims fell sharply last week, while those filing ongoing claims rose to another all-time high, according to government data released Thursday.

There were 565,000 initial jobless claims filed in the week ended July 4, down 52,000 from a revised 617,000 the previous week, the Labor Department said.

It was the lowest number since January and was below the consensus estimate of 603,000 from economists surveyed by Briefing.com.
