I just can't figure out why so many Americans continue to support (blindly) this president Cheney and his ventriloquist act when his policies are so profoundly anti-american and anti-conservative.

The Cheney Bush admin is so cynical and devious...to whit: "clear skies act" = right to pollute more
"no child left behind" = highest droput rates in the USA in Texas, where this abomination was created
"faith based services" = federal funding for religious programs and almost exclusively to christian groups.
"personal savings accounts" = a solution to the health care cost crisis..yeah, just save more of your own money America...!

Kerry, flawed though any human necessarily must be, represents a true alternative to this nonsense.

Or we can continue to believe the BS that is force-fed us from the radical Right via FOX, spewed out from the myopic and intillectually incurious that have usurped our government and our way of life while we slept....

SOmewhere in Texas a village is missing its idiot.
I honestly find it a bit sad as well. Even though I don't agree with their assesments and priorities, some are educated about why they support Bush (such as Salty, Oaf, Subaruguru, etc.) but far too many follow blindly. I'm sick of this "I'd rather have beer with Bush" or "Bush is more of an average man" mentality. I don't give a **** whether my president would be nice to have a beer with so long as he leads well, which Bush IMO doesn't. I don't want my president to be an "average" man. I want my president to be an exceptional man, greater than I, worthy of leading our great nation. That's what Kerry is FAR more than Bush.

I hadn't commented on this thread because I was hoping for someone to say, "bah! It's just a poll of "X" number of people" even though I know polls are relatively accurate.

I guess nobody wanted to pull that card seeing how Kerry was in the lead. Figures.

Reuters Poll: Bush Moves Into Dead Heat with Kerry

EDIT for caballo77: Olmek is that you? Way to give the cliché response that FOX news is the only biased news source and the only one responsible for media bias. You point out one side of the story and say we're blind?! Then you go one step further by posting two pictures (one false: http://www.snopes.com/photos/bushbook.asp) of Bush in order to prove something? Maybe I should dig-up the picture of Kerry getting hit in the face with a football because it's key in this election.

Remember that video, Chris? Caballo77 is THAT guy. And for the record, Clinton did the same damn thing on the Korean DMZ IIRC.

I suspect the polls are just going to bounce back and forth from candidate to candidate until the election. It is going to be a very close election this year.

On a side note all of those pictures (Bush with binocs and Kerry getting it in the face) are seriously funny!!
