I apologize for not completing the sentence or sentences properly, i didnt realize one would be judged just by thatt. i meant to say "basically". meaning, the fundamentals of 2A would be so that we can protect ourself from criminals, invasions via militia, rise up against unfair government, and so on, all for the freedom of the state. i'm no expert in the field, but i was wondering if we can have a healthy discussion.

just to be clear, i'm against banning guns for various reasons. thats why i asked in this hypothetical situation where black market will be absent, then will the positive gain outweigh the negative.

I see no negatives in firearm ownership.

The basic question makes no sense, because there will always be a black market for banned/illegal items. ALWAYS.

of course, i agree. i just wanted to create that situation for the discussion. i wondered, would it have an effect on people's views if black market wasn't a problem?

So you are asking a hypothetical for an impossible situation?

If the laws of physics did not apply to me, could I fly around in the air? Would I want to?

Banning guns will not change anything no matter what hypothetical land of magic and dragons you live in.
