1. Last year, the Naval Academy had 12,003 applicants for the freshman class that just entered. Of those, only 1,202 were admitted. Of those, better than 84% scored greater than 600 in Math and more than 70% score better than 600 in English on the SAT. After making that cut, they were evaluated by committees from their respective Congressmen and Senator's offices before they were offered appointments to Annapolis.
2. And the really cool part of the information above is that the process has been the same for over a hundred years. The place only takes the best of the best students in the country to begin with.
And while it doesn't hurt that McCain's father and grandfather were also grads, he still had to meet the same minimums for admissions. -One more thing, Havard has a Legacy Program, too. Nearly all colleges do.
2. A typical semester at the Naval Academy consists of no less than 22 Hours. My freshman year consisted of 25 and 24 hours for the first and second semesters. And at the end of the class day, all students, every last one of them, is required to participate in an intramural or intercollegiate sport. On top of that, there are the military duties such as standing uniform inspections, standing watch at all night to ensure no fires breakout or no terrorists attack the dorm, and marching in parades for tourists who visit the school. That's a busy day, even before the military stuff is included.
During the summers, Midshipmen go to sea with the Navy and the Marine Corps, not home on vacation.
3. Bill Gates, creator of Microsoft, never finished college. Albert Einstein failed high school math. Booker T. Washington was self-taught as was Benjamin Banneker. I finished 901st out of 1150 in my Class at the Naval Academy but first in my graduate school class at the University of Texas.

Gates and Einstein proved their capabilities more than adequately outside of school.
McCain lost no fewer than 5 planes in the course of his service and voted in line with the Bush administration 90% of the time
and 901/1150 is a lot better than 854/865, I might be more inclined to vote for you than McCain, except that I gather you too would vote with W most of the time.

Thank you! The Naval Academy (and West Point for that matter) are no joke. Just to complete the Naval Academy's curriculum speaks volumes.
George W. has a BS in History from Yale and an MBA from Harvard. So there goes that assumption.
Al Bundy and NOMAAM FTMFW!!!!!!
I hate both parties, but if I had to choose I'd vote for McCain just so I can see that hot bizatch Palin all over the news all the time.
It'd be fun to watch Obama win just so I can watch him fail over the next 4 years... The next four years are going to be tough for either party, and I'd love to see that idiot obama fall flat on his face with all his idiotic supporters caught with their thumbs up their asses.
No offense to any responsible Obama voters who are actually voting for him based on his views and not his color and "change" BS as seen in the first video. You'd be amazed at how many people are just as blind as them. Voting for all the wrong reasons... Not to say that some McCain voters aren't the same.
I really wish the states didn't have to suffer through this lame two party system... Democracy my ***.
Needless to say I wont be voting in this stupid *** system.
Actually, I'm going to grab my video camera next time there's an Obama rally down town and wear my "Don't elect politicians... Kill them" shirt and rile some feathers. If there's anyone who'd like to come along with me, you're more then welcome. We'll make Youtube fame.

I have a few black friends that will not vote for Obama for just that reason. They refuse to put someone of their own race into that situation for the first time as president.

I said if that were all it would be enough but that is not all- Tell you what, I'll let you consider the words of a man who was Richard Nixon's counsel to the President;

pretty much sums up my feelings on the whole election at this point.

No, you seem to be looking for even more outrageous violations and disregard for our constitution and international law.
I think that is the irony of it all, if anybody knows what abuse of power is and where it needs to stop, who outside of the current administration can top John Dean?
Yes, I would think someone with his experience in these matters would be a pretty good authority on the subjects.
By the way, did you happen to read the content of his article? or did you just read who wrote it and hop over to wikipedia to learn who John Dean was?
Attacking the source of an argument without addressing the content is a classic example of Ad Hominem fallacy, here I can help you with that one too;
