Feds move to seize 4 mosques, tower linked to Iran

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091113/...que_forfeiture

NEW YORK – Federal prosecutors took steps Thursday to seize four U.S. mosques and a Fifth Avenue skyscraper owned by a nonprofit Muslim organization long suspected of being secretly controlled by the Iranian government.

In what could prove to be one of the biggest counterterrorism seizures in U.S. history, prosecutors filed a civil complaint in federal court against the Alavi Foundation, seeking the forfeiture of more than $500 million in assets.
Just saw this headline while getting to my Yahoo mail and though this was out of left field. I'm surprise we gathered the cojones to finally act on something in country.

Thoughts?

After using the legal system and if found guilty, burn the mosques to the ground, salt the earth, and then pave over the land.

Take the tower and give it to the VA, DAV, VFW, etc.

I'm not religious, and I do think religion is a way to horde money illegally. Just my opinion. All churches/temples/mosques should be taxed and monitored closely due to the freedom they have with the money they use.

Then again I'll start my own religion and call it reality and have people give me tax free money from their hard earned work so I can buy myself a nice mercedes and laugh as I trick everyone else that praising reality will let you reach heaven.

Swiss ban mosque minarets in surprise vote

GENEVA – Swiss voters overwhelmingly approved a constitutional ban on minarets on Sunday, barring construction of the iconic mosque towers in a surprise vote that put Switzerland at the forefront of a European backlash against a growing Muslim population.

Muslim groups in Switzerland and abroad condemned the vote as biased and anti-Islamic. Business groups said the decision hurt Switzerland's international standing and could damage relations with Muslim nations and wealthy investors who bank, travel and shop there.

"The Swiss have failed to give a clear signal for diversity, freedom of religion and human rights," said Omar Al-Rawi, integration representative of the Islamic Denomination in Austria, which said its reaction was "grief and deep disappointment."
From the man whose religion oppresses women and kills non believers.
