TXS TBE Squeaking? Anti-Seize It!
I've been having an annoying engine shut-off squeak coming from the underside of my WRX ever since I installed my TurboXS turbo back exhaust. It wasn't really obtrusive, but it finally got to me and I decided to take a whack at making the car quieter.
Know what worked? Anti-seize on the tranny to mid-pipe bracket and especially applying a liberal coating of the slippery silver stuff on the doughnut/spring bolt assemblies. Put it all back together and after a bit of smoking (residue) - silent as the night!
