Dolphin Slaughter

Not political really... but very distrubing and sad to watch. It's about how the Japanese harvest Dolphins.

Simply amazing...

Really angers me to see this, considering I'll be living in Japan in the next month.
Japan continusously ignores the bans on whaling, didn't know they did this, but it makes sense that they would due to the Dolphin packs hunting the same types of fish that the Fishermen go after.

Rather surprised that they even sell it rather than dump the Dolphin.

Might just have to pay a visit to Futo...

Absolutely disturbing .

Japan really has a problem with its fishing industry. They have contunually rejected international treaties that ban against not only the slaughter of dolphins, but of whales as well. For me, the most disturbing part of the video was the manner in which they finally slaughered the animals. There are very few cultures in the world that let any animal - let alone one as friendly and intelligent as the dolphin - suffer so much agony. Hell, as nasty as our slaughterhouses are, they still have respect for the animal and try to "finish the deed" as fas as possible. The fact that the Japanese kill them in such an inhumane way is what is really bothersome to me.
Cheers

Judging by the cars in the parking area this looks to be somewhere from at least 1988. Hopefully it is that old, but that is probably no the case.
