"They" hate us because we are not Muslims.

Men held over Sulawesi beheadings

And why would the action of British troops cause Muslims to hate us?

Right, because they had a mirror ball that this may have happened pre- 9/11.

I love how people don't realize saying "now we know why they hate us" sells them (the Iraqis, Muslims, etc.) short in the tolerance department. They can lump us together and it's no big deal but try and lump together the large amount of radicals and the ones that actually have committed acts of terrorism with the rest of the Muslims and people flip. But anyways, my point is that a local radical Islamic group could castrate 200 young boys and have **** sex in front of them with their mothers without affecting how we treat Abu at the corner store, or our next door neighbor Muhammad.

You obviously missed what I was saying. If we came to save the Iraqie people and this stuff is happening it justifies and causes support to happen for those that attack us. If you want to win in Iraq you want the opposite of this to happen. This looks badly on the coalition, especially the brits, which includes us. Thats why its bad and thats why I don't think Iraq is going so well. And this has NOTHING to do with radical muslims and everything to do with the war in Iraq.

Way to ****ing pick and choose.
It is all connected.
Some people like to use the Iraq war to show how baaaaad the US is.
**** them.

Again I ask:

Which is worse, being paraded around naked by a rather manly Peppermint Patty, or getting your head lopped off?

Since we're at war, right or wrong, which side are you rooting for?

And you still don't get it. Winning in Iraq is not going to be done by force. We will lose that way, the only way to win is to win the minds and spirit of the people. Getting beat down by those supposed to protect you only fuels the fire that legitimizes the people that attack us. This is NOT what we want. If you can't see that it doesn't matter what the hell they do to us but what we do to them, then I don't see what I can say. The longer we are seen as the aggressors the longer this will last.

So when I disagree with something being done that hampers the return of my friends I suddenly am on the wrong side? Grow up, questions like this don't even deserve an answer.

Unfortunately, the only only "thing" that will convince these folks is what they understand, and that's violence.
Terrorists from the ME have been waging a guerrilla war against the West for at least 30 yrs.

Violence is unreasonable.
But you can't be reasonable with unreasonable people.

Once you start treating other humans as bellow humans you already lost.

You really don't understand how terrorism works. Having lived in an area with an active terrorist organization. I can tell you right now that force will not work. By kiling a father/mother/daughter/son/uncle etc.. you create another terrorist or two. If you treat individuals fairly people will eventually turn around and start to get tired of getting killed by their own.

What is the solution then?
Sit around the camp fire, making s'mores, and singing Kum by yah in Arabic?

Why do they hate us
(the shot list)
1. Most (75-80%) believe in GOD not the punk with laundry on his head
2. We've got alot more good looking women than they do(real reason for the birka)
3. we've got most of the fresh water
4. We've got much nicer weather,110 in the shade-sounds nice huh-NOT
5. freadom of speach/thinking
I could put the entire list up but it will take a while

Being the first to help those hurt by bombings. Finding those that did it and putting them to a public trial. None of this secret prison crap. Putting soldiers that commit these sort of acts on trial and not going nicely on them. Show them that we are fair and here to help. That we are not the ones causing them to die. Involving the community in the prosecution of these individuals. (Ie, have a mother that lost a son as a witness for the trial of a bomber.)

We will not win by using force. We will win by changing how they view us.
