Democrat's plan for Iraq

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070118/..._co/us_iraq_25

From what I can tell, the plan sounds pretty good. Cap US involvment, set deadlines for the Iraqi gov't/military/police, and move US troops out of harms way into a training and support roll.

The fact that some republicans are behind it is hard to interpret to me...abandoning the sinking ship or finally speaking their minds? Who knows....

If they, the Dems, had any *****, they'd call for immediate pullout, and let the Iranians deal with that pool cesspool.

...you mean if the democrats let their political pride get in the way of their decision making, they'd call for an immediate withdrawal...

I think the plans the democrats have set forth show a lot of political maturity in that they aren't the polar opposite of what Bush et.al. want, but it is a logical and methodical plan for getting the US out of a horrible mess.
