So while I'm waving it you'll be burning it, right? Let's just get out the truth for everyone to see.

I responded to the overall idea that you fueled.... anyone who talks about overthrowing our government will have me in their face.

Thanks for playing!

Helladumb, you are amazing. You only allow people to have one opinon, that which agrees with yours and if they don't they are name called and threatened with violence. You're a disgrace to everything this country stands for, go back in your hole and crawl out when its time to vote so you can enjoy the liberties this country provides to everybody not just you and all your same thinking friends. The really sad part is we're probably voting for the same person.

This constitutes one of the founding pillars of our country. I dont get it how some current conservatives get off on more and bigger govt... almost the anti-thesis of what the party stands for as pointed out in an earlier post.

And Dumb, the point is not to overthrow per say... the point is to avoid despotism by getting rid of leaders that lead us, as a nation, astray. That is what it means to be an American. If you want to be a sheep and blindly follow whomever, remember to take $200 when you pass Go

When someone talks about overthrowing my government, I don't get a tingly feeling. I would not use violence on you pe se, but I would defend my country. I happen to like it the way it is. It's getting more and more uncomfortable for the law-breakers here. On the other hand, I too feel uneasy when I see video cameras in neighborhoods and at every intersection... don't get me wrong.

If anyone has led us astray, it's the terrorists and socialists(stay with me for a second). I see big "law-enforcement" government growth under the current administration as a result of growing threats of terrorism.
I see big "socialist" government growth through liberal proposals including socialized health care, social programs, and wealth distribution.

I agree we have a problem, but the terms used in this thread refer to an violent or non-violent overthrow of the government, which I would fight to the death.

Well, what is against the law is slowly being expanded as well, which makes people like me more and more uncomfortable.

So what would you do if the military attempted to overthrow the government and get rid of the constitution?

Lock & load one twenty round magazine loaded with 7.62mm 168 grain HPBTM and, depending why they were doing it, either fight with or against the Green Machine.

It all depended on who was in charge of the military, and why they were trying to do it. This is unimaginable in our current situation.

You, I, and the rest of the conservatives are letting the country get hijacked and ruined by liberals and the freaky fringe.
Ok, take two steps back and look at this reasonably. Nowhere does it implicitly or explicitly state that he wants to overthrow the current US government. I think the implication was that in the coming presidential election, he's hoping that Bush will lose. Personally, I'm not a huge Bush fan, but I like Kerry even less, for the simple fact that he talks a lot without actually saying anything. I love the Kerry commercials where he's talking about "everyone should have health care" etc etc etc, I challenge him to find one person in the country that disagrees with that, my problem is that he doesn't say how he's going to do that. I digress, my point is, do you really think there is going to be a large-scale anti-government civil uprising? While people may not like the current elected officials, they generally enjoy their way of life, and extremists on both ends of the spectrum will not change the majority opinion. The "freaky fringe" is just that, fringe, not mainstream, not majority. So sit down, take a pill, and chill out, the world is not coming to an end.

Who would have ever thought that the gay minority would steal the rainbow? You think I'm kidding? Try to go to a toy store and buy rainbow print, kite, sheets, etc..... you can't. Nobody makes the stuff anymore because the gay minority stole it. See a rainbow flag outside a night club? It doesn't mean that kids are invited.

Any group, no matter the size, can change minority opinion with enough will-power. Do I have a problem with gays and civil unions with the same rights as marriage? No, as long as they don't jam their lifestyle down my throat.

Think I'm wrong? Gays are the minority but now every time you turn on the TV, it's gay everything.
