Declaration of Independence
Declaration of Independence
I had to pass a college level test on the Constitutional principles as part of getting my teaching credentials. These words really struck me.
" But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
Maybe Psoper is getting to me but I think it might be about that time.

You're going to be a teacher? Truly a sad day.
There are really some jack boot ***** hiding in the shadows of I-club aren't there? He's not issuing a call to arms, hes voicing a dissenting opinion and last time I checked that was ok. No wonder the liberals on this forum treat the conservatives like a bunch of idiots.

I think HellaDumb just likes the attention he gets...
but this is a little overboard, even for a conservative. i thought the conservative view was generally for smaller, cheaper less-instrusive government (though to be fair i'm not sure that's ever been possible)
I don't think the situation in the US has quite become what it was at the time of the Declaration. but little by little, year after year our freedoms are diminished, government (and our taxes) grow. eventually the time will come

I'm a Libertarian/Constitutionalist and I firmly believe that the tree of Liberty needs to be watered from time to time with the blood of Tyrants & Patriots. It helps to keep the elected officials on their toes.
Unfortunately, merely discussing such activities in such a public forum could be seen as conspiracy to commit treason.

Hella, are you saying that it's never ok to overthrow the gov't? That's why the 2nd Amendment was added to the BOR.
I'm really surprised the hippies never did it during the 60's or 70's. Musta been all the weed they smoked.
You quoted two different people(myself included) and then responded to things they didn't say. You need to go back and refresh yourself on your countries history. The sad part is you're probably one of those people who waves the flag violently on the 4th of July but have no clue about all the things that led to that event. So just keep reading up on Mein Kampf and have a nice day.

You, I, and the rest of the conservatives are letting the country get hijacked and ruined by liberals and the freaky fringe.
