Decision making: I'm either going to become a Quaker or a Jew
The only factors I've yet to overcome are that I don't believe in Jesus nor the new testament. Also, I'm not a big fan of Israel; as a matter of fact, for me, Israel is a not too distant 2nd place behind France, with regards which countries' foreign policies that alienate me.
Of course, my search for religion is nowhere near completion yet. Anyone have any suggestion as to direction for research?
Right now, me & honest Abe pretty much see eye to eye:

When I do good, I feel good; when I do bad, I feel bad, and that is my religion.

You should go have a chat with Tom Cruise. He's got something that might work for you...

That 'religion' may be THE answer, but Tom Cruise and SciFi novels are enough to turn me off of that stuff. What's it about, anyhow?
I could check into Buddhism. This is absolute truth. The Dalai Lama's brother lives about 3 houses away from me and the Tibetan Cultural Center is across the street from his house.

I didn't ask anyone to tell me what to do. Reread.
I'd talk some more smack but I know how close Champaign is to my hometown.

Wasn't trying to be a smartass, just saying how I feel and it seems like maybe your disenchantment comes from the organization of religion not religion itself. And yeah we are pretty close so watch it

Nah, I'm actually from Crawfordsville.
I wasn't looking for any advice. I'm a moderator. I was just starting a provacative topic....but not doing a very good job of it.
