I think he's just following polls for his wife and trying to gain points for himself from the intl. community and the U.N., it's not like Regan or Bush sr. couldn't have criticized his administration.

No ****. He must have missed that picture. At least he was smart enough to realize that something like this could have been huge over a 4 day span. Having the buses go in a contiuous loop would have been brilliant! Funny that this could have had serious potential if it wasn’t completely avoided by the major and state. They'd much rather put the easy in the "big-easy" by opting for a bus graveyard instead.

Now where's Dre to tell me it wouldn't have worked regarding gas tank size now that Clinton thought it was a feasible idea.

I also find Clinton’s comments somewhat groundless considering he never faced a natural disaster or any other major curveballs during his term. He somehow managed to skate by the entire eight years without a bump in the road. The only bump he managed to hit was laid down by himself.

Proof? Link?..........Bueller?

P.S. If you are able to provide evidence for your claim, you may want to consider the following chart as part of the equation.

http://pubdb3.census.gov/macro/03200...w01_100_01.htm
Well, I did your work for you. 12.9% of the US population under the poverty level in 2004, Vs. just about 10% at the end of Clinton's term.

More conservative prevarication shot down by 45 seconds of research.

lojasmo, you amaze my by your lack of ability/willingness to view things from other prespectives. I thought liberals prided themselves on that. Clinton had one of the easiest terms of any President in American history. He practiced pure isolationism and did little outside his own country. He was able to do this because he was uninterupted. Had a few planes been flown into his economic stronghold do you think the funding he used to make up for the 2.?% poverty margin would have still been available? Doubtful..

I think that Oaf's claim was ignorant at best. Unsupportable by the facts, at least.

As far as your speculation, that's all it is....speculation.

1. Google "poverty rate"
2. Click on the 4th link...should be this.
3. Look at the data table.
4. Apology accepted.

So, it steadily fell while Clinton was in office, and has steadily risen while bush has been in office, and is now higher than it was at the end of Clinton's term. Your link kind of disproves your statement.

So your statement was false, or at best disingenuous.

I would like to point out that the poverty rate started rising before 9/11

Where did you get that info from?

From the link it goes to 11.3/9.9 in 2001. Where's the information stating that the .4/.3 increase wasn't a result of the last 4 months of the year? Seems like it's more than feasible given the small increase.

But given the times I think Bush's numbers are very solid, even if they are on the slight increase. And if you're about to give Clinton credit for those low numbers from the start then I’m sure you're partially correct. But if you do that let's just go ahead and add the reasoning behind 9/11 on Clinton's shoulders, shall we? Funny how the buck always stops at the President’s term if it's information his followers aren’t willing to accept.
