I think it's necessary for the security of the president, actually. Sheehan's overwhelmingly annoying presence might have saved Bush's life if you think about it.

 

I bet they were just a huge hassle for local PD and the President had little or nothing to do with it. The PD knew legislation was being passed thus making their daily routes a little less centered around these idiots. Not really a big deal. Those protesting should have been a little more aware of what was happening behind the curtain and improvised accordingly. If the President really wanted to make things worse on them he could have done so much earlier & legally with a team of lawyers assigning a designated protest zone in BFE, Texas.

I find this story quite humorous.

 

i'm as much a democrat as the next but this sheehan lady has taken it too far and is making the liberals already tarnished image look worse

 

Sheehan is a once-and-future republican/conservative...I wouldn't worry about her tarnishing liberal's image.
