But France is an effing beautiful country, and as much **** as the people get from Americans they are still great in my book . I'd take a nice little estate in Southern France, or an apartament in Paris any day of the week. Wine + Cheese + Women (French women do shave, suprisingly enough) + Beautiful countryside FTW

True, but the scenery and the history is not the same. That is not to say there are not beautiful places here - I live in Colorado where the scenery is never ending. But it is different. There are not many places in the united states where you can visit ancient castles, and sleep in people's homes that have been inhabited by the same family for 300 years.

I'll never profess to dislike living where I do. Colorado, and the west in general (not really a fan of the east or south) is absolutely stunning in its vast expances, varried terrain, and climates. But the beauty of France is completely different and more beautiful in many ways. And the French people, as soon as they realize that you come with an open mind and a willingness to learn, are wonderful as well. I doubt you will find many people who can say they dislike France or the French after living or visiting for any substantial amount of time.
