BBC edits out the word terrorist

Would you like cream in your coffee, sir? One lump or two? Anything for you, sir.

http://news.telegraph.co.uk/news/mai.../12/nbbc12.xml

The BBC has re-edited some of its coverage of the London Underground and bus bombings to avoid labelling the perpetrators as "terrorists", it was disclosed yesterday.
I'm pretty sure I wasn't looking at the “bomberized” faces of the victims and those reacting across the world. Keep up the good work guys!

im actually glad they did that..

they arent terrorists they are criminals, murderers and once more even labeling them terrorists plays into their hands.

terrorism and terrorist is far overused term now a days.. i wish it could be erased from english..

But they are admitted al Qadea members.

I wouldn't call someone that's guilty of tax evasion to be in the same category as a terrorist.

But it's not so much the word. It's more of human nature in how we react to these types of incidents with terror.

If we called terrorists "snuggle bunnies" then children would be scared of their stuffed animals.

I see your point though...

these people are just glorified criminals in my book, ****ing lunatic fringe thinkers who think by commiting such crimes they will justify their thoughts.. no different from a common criminal.

To label someone a Terrorist is to give the world a bad guy that everyone can hate and hopefully come together and eradicate. To call them a criminal is to suggest that an isolated incident took place that doesn't concern anyone but the victims. In the later description I think there is a greater chance that the bad guys may gain some sympathy. Yea, I suppose that if we were to down play it, it would **** of the scub doing it. Of course they're trying to get the worlds attention.

I just think that the world needs to put it's foot down and search out and destroy this very real threat. The more we embrace it, the sooner we'll come together to stop it.
