Basically, if something happens to a soldier and they get in trouble, the whole world should not know about it. The damn media shows every little "bad" thing that we do over there. Can anyone tell me how many schools we have built? The percent of the country with running water now compared to 3 years ago? The amount of Iraqis that voted in the last election? The amount of Iraqis that have power in there homes now? The literacy rate 3 years ago and the rate now? The wages that were earned on average 3 years ago compared to now?
Nope, but I know you can tell me how many US soldiers have been killed and how many court martials there has been for misconduct on prisoners.

Why is this? Anyone?

it is because the liberal mind set has to destory every once of the right wing they can, and because this war was started with the right wing, everything has to be treated like were (the troops and the admin) are all doing evil. when really they are doing WAY more good than bad!

i'm sorry if your a left-winger but even you guys can't deny the whole goal of the left wing is to destroy the right's rep

No...I actually watch a news channel that doesn't have ties to the Bush family.

There is growing evidense to show that the war in Iraq has and is being shown more positively in our media than it actually is. There is only one small section of the country that isn't involved in turmoil (rather than only one small part being involved, as many republican strategists and pundits try to make it seem).

Unfortunatly most Americans on both sides are idiots...two recent polls have shown that ~3/4 of the country know who Larry Curly and Mo are, while only ~35% know the three branches of the government. If knowing most Americans are idiots makes me want to have their opinions not count, and therefor makes me elitist, then f*** it I am. And most 'elitisits' agree this war was started for the wrong reasons, mishandled after its start, and needs to be drastically changed for the better of the US.

The reason why people dont know the three branches of government, yet who Larry the Cable Guy is is simple. Its not "cool" to know about stuff like that. Its cool to watch MTV and rebel against the system and know the latest about Britney Spears and Brad Pitt. This country is run by the damn media and big business. If it doesnt make money, its not important and therefore isnt stressed in the public view. When is the last time you sat and watched a show about the branches of the government and went to hang out with your friends and quoted it. Now when is the last time you watched some dumba$$ comedian and quoted them?
