I have a 2005 WRX. I replaced my Struts at about 25k when I was offered some with lowing springs. I have about 125k now and I am due to replace them again. Can I put the 25k mile struts back on the car? They have been stored in my garage since 2006 uncompressed. Has anyone done anything like this before? Thank you for the help.

 

Should be fine. Struts typically fail from either the shaft seal or the piston seal wearing out. No motion, no wear.
