In 09+ WRXs the dampening was changed to nearly match the STIs along with STI top hats.

Therefore, an 08 WRX and 08+ Imprezas will have softer struts.

I used the STI Swift Springs, which said 08+ WRX/STI on the box, and they sucked. The only springs I had heard "good" things about is the STI Pinks. They have two sets of spring rates available, one set for the softer struts and another for the 09+ WRX and 08+ STI.

I really dislike how my 08 WRX's body pitches over when I get aggressive on the highway cloverleafs. Would sway bars fix that?

Edit:
I'm also looking into the Eibach 25mm Fr and R Sway Bar kit.

Well if you upgrade sways, I suggest 25 or 24 front and 22 rear. And make sure you do the bushings and endlinks otherwise you see the best results. The feel is great, and everything is tightened up.

As far as I know Eibach doesnt make anything besides the 22mm in the Rear. I have the 25mm Front and 22mm Rear along with the springs. Its kit #7721.880. I am very happy with the kit and handles a whole lot better. I found it funny when I first bought my car and actually drove it on how sloppy it was. my stock 2008 Civic Si didnt have that slop at all haha

I liked the stock body roll haha Perfect for a Scandinavian flick? I tried that on a corner, that didn't work out like I hoped. But out in the dirt, oh man I miss those slushy springs haha too much fun.

Believe it or not, stiffer is better for the flick. Just saying. Well, stiffer in the rear.

Oh I am sure it is, just I stopped rallying and doing that stuff after I did all of my suspension work.

I heard from someone that you should run a thinner sway in front and thicker in back?
Is this true?!

Whats the OEM thickness of our sways for the STi 08

^Yes. Given the tendency for AWD cars to understeer, you get better results with a stiff rear and soft front.

Normally, that's what I go by also. But you also have to take into consideration the STI's front diff. The helical diff won't work as well if one of the front tires is off the ground. Then it just becomes an open diff i believe.

I would get matching springs and matching adjustable sway bars, and set the front to soft and the rear to firm.

Currently I'm running 7k/7k with 22mm fsb and a 25mm rsb, both set to stiff. The rear was a bit lively @ Infineon when the track was wet from rain, but when it was dry the added speed to my turn in/track out was very welcome.
