YAY! My springs came today!

Hello all,
My Tanabe GF210's just came for MY03 WRX.....Wife confirmed receipt of the box at the house. Planning on the install this weekend, any words of wisdom for me? I will be using jack stands and good ol elbow grease to do the install.....wish me luck!

Rent a spring compressor for Kragen. It may or may not be needed. At least you'll know you got everything together properly before re-installing. Mark your camber bolts prior to loosening them. You'll still need an alignment but you won't b all over the place. If you have some trouble with the King nut on the strut here's a couple of things you can try. Vise grip the socket and grab the nut them slip the hex key through the hole in the socket this will hold the strut while you loosen/tighten the king nut. I have also heavily wrapped a pair of channel locks in electrical tape and held the shaft while tightening. Just be careful not to mar the shaft. Grab it through the spring up high if you have to go this route. Lastly check and double check your work. It sucks buttoning everything up and realizing "Oh **** I forgot to..."

I watched the Youtube video for the RCE springs being installed on an 08 and they just had a guy hold the entire strut assembly, applying pressure on the top hat while another guy unscrewed the nut. We'll see....I might make a last min trip to get the compressor....thanks for the insight....
