I think you can still get them without the twin-halo effect. what color car do you have? I've seen these modded (blacked out upper turn signal area) and they actually looked pretty good

He did say "functional". The cheap Ebay lights are pretty horrible, the beam pattern is very poor even though they are projectors. Plus as mentioned they are not wired correctly from the factory.
You'd be far better off looking for a set of used Morettes, although even used they may be more than $250 but you do get what you pay for.
