hello all, new to this site. im having a tough time locating the correct cv joint for an 04 sti that began making clunking noises at full lock. the measurement of the cv joint that came off the car is 94 millimeters where the boot fits over. subaru of schaumburg located the part using the vin number, and it was close to 75 millimeters across. i think this is one of the first sti's in the area, and may have been assembled around the end of a production year, so perhaps this is why the vin doesn't show the correct part. anyone have any experience with this problem? thanks!
