Drilled is drilled. DBA does it the wrong way. clicky. (my apologies for the ricer sigs and BS you gotta sift through before the tech starts)

Uhhh, no. Drilling leads to thermal stress around the holes, which leads to cracking. It's only okay if you simply don't stress your brakes, and only care about the bling factor.

I got the DBA 650-series slotted for the fronts, only. I figured the rears were just going along for the ride most of the time and a rotor upgrade would be just cosmetic. I am using Axxis Ultimate for pads but I don't push the car that hard at Thunderhill (yet). I'm using StopTech braided hoses for the fronts and Motul RBF 600 fluid. If I need more than this I'll just go to 17-inch rims/tires and the StopTech big brake kit.

I've posted this recently so I won't repeat the rest about how I've faded my stock WRX brakes even on the street.

If you change out the front brake lines yourself, make sure you have the proper size flare nut wrenches to do the job. Breaking those compression fittings loose without rounding off the nuts can be a PITA without them (but it's been done by others). With the right wrenches, it was easy.

I just did a track day at Infeneon on 1-22-05 with stock rotors and EBC green pads. Mind you, I have a 2.5RS so the rotors are smaller than the WRX ones. The brakes did just fine. This was my first day so I was not using even half of the cars capability. Just learning the line... Next time I will push a more.

BTW: Can't wait to go again...
