Torque specs for changing front pads/rotors?2002 WRX
Guys and Gals: I once again turned to my trusted information BB/site for some well needed information.
I am about to change my front pads and rotors this weekend, as at 55K miles, they have started screetching something aweful. I am pretty sure this is just the wear indicator, although it sounds worse than any other wear indicator that I have ever heard, on any other vehicle that I have ever heard.
Is this high pitch screetching normal for the WRX's??
OK, next question. What are the torque specs for anything that I will be removing, ie caliper slide bolts, bracket bolts and anything else that I will have to remove in order to remove the pads and rotors??
I do not have a manual and like to make sure that I don't over torque anything important like the brakes. I have too broken many bolts on a variety of vehicles and have been told too many times that I don't know my own strength.
Also, from the post that I have already searched and read on this topic, there doesn't seem to be any special tool for pushing the caliper piston back into its bore other than the old trusty C-clamp, but I want to make sure that Subaru doesn't use the kind that you have to spin as you push it back in and usually need a special tool to do it. A regular C clamp will work OK??
Thanks in advance for all the help. Any other information that I should know would also be appreciated. Thanks again.

No problm, glad to be of service.
A C clamp is fine. I know a lot of manuals recommended. You wont mess up the piston using the trusty C Clamp.
