Tein for the sedan that performs like the wagon coilovers?
I was reading the thread with all the rave reviews about the Tein WGNs (wagon coilovers). Although, they sound like a fairly basic model, all owners seem to find them to be an excellent upgrade. Being a sedan owner, it makes me wonder... What is the sedan equivalent model of Tein coilovers similar to the Tein wagon coilovers that everyone is raving about?

You can actually use the type wagons without a problem, except that you get some extra camber you'll have to dial out with some camber bolts. There is also the Tein "basic" setup coming out, which is also going to be height adjustable, but not damping. The next cheapest/simplest option is the Flex without EDFC.

Ah, that's what I was wondering. I thought it was weird that all the sedan sets were dampening adj. at near twice the price of the height-only adj. wagons. Do you know of any ETA on the sedan simpltons? I'll call TEIN tomorrow and post if I get any answers out of them.
I'm looking for those because I'm not going to need to change my dampening... I like road course stuff and thats it. I'm not looking to do competition, just things like unlimited laps or driving schools to practice and play. At those I want to be running my street setup anyhow. I can feel the stock struts beginning to go (thank San Francisco potholes) with the TEIN High-Techs that I have.

Steppin Razor is looking to get rid of his Tein Wagons. They are immaculately clean (he posted pics in BAIC, so don't take my word for it) and they are in excellent condition. I think he was asking $650, which is what a good deal on springs and AGX would cost you.

thanks for the plug, but they're unfortunately sold.
there is actually a tein model called the SS for super street that you can get for about $1200 that is even more basic than the flex, but i've heard that they aren't worth the money.
IMO, you'd be much better off using some koni inserts in stock struts which will give you rebound damping adjustability, and then getting a ground control setup if you're looking for height adjsutability. that way you can also change spring rates easily since 2.5" ID race springs are easy to come by and you could even add a helper spring so it rides smoother for the wifey-to-be.
email me if you have any questions, i would be more than willing to help out.
