About 6 months ago I installed a set of Ver. 7 STi struts and springs on my 2002 WRX sedan. I love the setup and the handling is great. However, There was no drop and I'm getting the lowering bug pretty bad. I was wondering what type of springs would work well with the inverted STi struts? Also, will the STi struts be able to handle and lowering spring without causing excelerated wear?

I have the same problem and almost everyone tells me to try the '02/'03 Prodrive springs. The rates are nearly identical. I am giving this very serious thought right now.

I'm probably just going to go with the pinks. The only thing that's holding me back is the price. Where did you find the Prodrive springs and what's the price?

prodrives aren't cheap...~$300. you can get them from auto innovations here in milpitas...i think MPJ also sells them (not sure).

i'm running eibach pro springs right now...the drop is more than enough. the ride is pretty stiff, but i went from OE WRX suspension to STi struts + eibach springs.

antiochcali...let me know how the prodrive on STi struts feels like; i'm curious to see what springs work best with these struts.

 

This is sort of relevant to the topic. I was curious if the '04 STi springs will fit onto the '05 WRX struts.
