You can make a tool very easily. Get like a 1" socket, a long hex bolt, a washer and a nut, feed the bolt through the socket, through the bushing, and put the nut on the other side. Start cranking on the bolt and the bushing will pull itself right into the socket. Repeat. I did mine this way a couple of years ago. Actually, I sent whiteline an e-mail about this and bammo; they started putting them in the kit. I'm not going to take credit, but I think I had something to do with it.
I spent time under cars doing those damn things 3 times. Tool would have helped. Leave it to an engineer to think about this kind of ****.

Honestly....I think these people that rave about how huge a difference it made either had VERY worn bushings or are full of crap. Kind of like a butt dyno.
It's worth it just cause it's cheap. Its worth it if you have mad miles on your car. But I wouldn't expect much out of it.
When your really pushing it you'll notice it a bit. It helps the steering a bit when your up at that 8-9/10ths driving. Little more feeling in the wheel and a little more precise. Not some miracle mod by any means in my opinion.

Rack bushings
I have found it really easy to do if you loosen the pinch bolt on the shaft to pinion. Let it slide down about a half an inch, but not all the way off... Make sure you mark the two pieces before you loosen the bolt or you may be in for some crooked steering wheel action!
