Steering Rack Bushings Problem

So they did not give me the tool to take out the 2 driver side bushings, and now I am stuck on how to get them out.

Those of you who did this yourselves, did you have this tool? And if you didn't how do you get those bushings out?

What tool? There is no tool... The driver side bushing is a pain in the butt. Just keep going at it. I eventually got it out by just wiggling and angling it.

Whiteline's steering rack bushings now come with a tool to make the install easier.

02-04 doesn't need a special tool. 05+ does. The rack mounts are different

You can make a tool very easily. Get like a 1" socket, a long hex bolt, a washer and a nut, feed the bolt through the socket, through the bushing, and put the nut on the other side. Start cranking on the bolt and the bushing will pull itself right into the socket. Repeat. I did mine this way a couple of years ago. Actually, I sent whiteline an e-mail about this and bammo; they started putting them in the kit. I'm not going to take credit, but I think I had something to do with it.
