RSB installation advice???

I just got the whiteline 18-22mm swaybar from subaruwrxparts.com and want to install it tomoro on a 99 OBS. Advice?

Also, I read in another forum conflicting views. Should I leave the wheels hanging (jackstands) or is it better to have them loaded (ramp) or should I put it on jack stands and put a medium amount of pressure on the wheels (like with a couple of vehicle jacks? Any opinions or what worked. (I believe its same as on a wrx so everyones opinion or what you did should help).

I got all the stuff with it, stiffer mounts, stiffer endlinks, and all the goodies. So anything I should watch out for would be great too.

Thanx

i am pretty sure you should use ramps and keep them loaded as you said. the oter thing is if you do strut bars just take the nuts off, and just make sure the car is on flat ground and tht is about it.

I'm lucky enough to have a lift, so i do all my mods with the car in the air. With the wheels off the ground, the sways, for me anyways, were easy as hell to install. I'd do it with the wheels unloaded, plus jackstands are more my style if I'm not using the lift.

Well I installed them used ramps cuz thats what ravensblade said, and he had whole instructions. Seemed to work OK

I upgraded the mounts, and it made the shape of the clamps on them different. The bushing that came with the upgraded mounts seemed like it had a bigger whole that the one that came with the bar. Is this a problem? I couldn't use the one that came with the bar since it was difference size/shape, but it fit snugly while the mounts bushing was loose. Will this cause problems or be worse for handling or confort or longevity or anything?

Thanx

I installed a whiteline RSB with the wheels hanging. No problems at all. The new bushings should be harder depending on who you got the RSB from. Usually it will be harder eurethane but YES, your car will handle better with upgraded bushings.

I'm sorry, I think you must have misunderstood me (I have a hard time making sense)

The hardness wasn't what I was commenting on. The size of the inside was. The opening in the bushing(?) was bigger in the one that fit the upgraded mounts than the one that came with the bar, and it seemed loose on the bar. That is what I was asking about, If I need to get it replaced with the smaller size, or if it'l work fine.

Thanx
