Rear Camber Plate install HELP
Hey, I have a 02 WRX. I am installing a fully adjustable race suspension in my car, but ran into a snag. I am doing CUSCO rear camber plates and have a few questions before teardown. I don't know if the stock rear upper mount is one piece or not. It has a dish down shape and I don't see how the CUSCO mount goes together with the upper spring perch. So how do I put the CUSCO PBM onto this top mount. I included pictures of my stock mount and the camber plate I have. Other info that may be necessary about this set up is 02 WRX, 04 STI struts, 02 Perrin lowering springs, 02 front and rear Cusco Camber plates.

The only thing that bothers me is the diameter and length of the unthreaded upper portion of the strut shaft.....that may be 'wrong'. The stock strut top is one piece....and is not used with the Cusco plates.
The rest should work....but may not due to the mish-mash of parts.
The reason nobody is able to help is that that combination of parts may never have been tried before.....see what I'm saying???
It may not be compatible for some reason, and you won't know until you try it.

I don't think its too much of a mish mash of parts. Factory struts and lowering springs all I want to add is a camber plate. Someone on Nasioc said that the proper way was to cut the factory top mount in half. That sounds ridiclous to me. I figured that they were for a 02 wrx so they should be easier to install than this. I did resaeach and no one addressed these issues, so i guess everyone has coilovers and hasnt run into this.

The issue is the upper spring perch-to-strut top interface and the diameter and length of the unthreaded portion of the strut shaft.
The '04 strut shaft is slightly different than the '02-'03 and THAT may be the issue.....if the stock strut tops don't ahve to be cut.
By the sound of it, it is going to be YOU that tell US what the issues are and not the other way around.....if nobody else chimed in with any info.....so have at it and let us all know what's what........and welcome to teh world of modding and high performance.
Grease the pillow ***** on the tops well before you install them or they will make a lot more noise

That's 'cuz most just use cheap camber bosts in back or swap the lateral links to adjustable ones and skip the pain in the *** top plates.
