Rear Shock Problem? (STi)

I am currently experiencing this and I've seen others have mentioned that on some earlier STi's there's problems with the shocks in the rear. Something about losing lubrication, then the backend starts sticking and getting noisy. I have this problem with my 04 STi. Has anyone else experienced this? any knowledge on what the fix is? is it an easy fix? covered under warranty if I take it to the dealer? any thoughts are appreciated

I never had this problem with my 04 but yes it seems to be common and all I have heard of were covered under warranty
