Rear Brake Question

Rear Brake Question
How can you remove the rear brake dust shield?? Fronts were blindingly simple but could not see how the rear is attached are they pressed?

They are tack welded on. You need to punch them off with a hammer/mallot, and a chisel right on the welds. Or you can just pound them back a little if you are installing larger rotors.

Once I broke loose the first spot weld by inserting a cold chisel between the dust shield and backing plate, I was able to rip the the dust shield off with gloved hands working each weld back and forth to break them.
