Painting Rims

In the long run? No, only powder coating really works in the long run.

But, in the short run, its all about prep work. Acid wash the wheels, and rub them with a fine grit sandpaper. Put a layer or two of primer down. Put a few coats of the paint down, and make sure to let it mostly dry. Let the paint cure over night, then hit it up with a few coats of clear coat for extra protection.

The wheels are still very prone to chips, so they will still get horribly chipped after a few months (depending on how many rocks are generally flying around the roads you drive on).
