Pads for '98 Impreza?
Hi all,
I'm possibly inheriting a '98 Impreza wagon, EJ22/AT. It just turned 75k, and the brakes are terrible. I suspect it needs, at a minimum, new front pads and a brake fluid flush.
I'm not Subaru-savvy, so I'd really appreciate suggestions as to what a good, reasonably priced street pad might be. This will be a daily driver--it needs nothing fancy. But I don't want to buy no-name junk, either.
Am I likely going to need to replace the rotors as well at 75k? I'm guessing this might be the 3rd set of front pads, and again I just am not familiar enough with Scoobys to know how long the rotors usually last.
Will I need any special tools to do this job myself?
Thanks in advance for your input!
