I believe that they need the stock backing plate pressed off and the correct backing plate pressed on. This is necessary because the 2-pot calipers mount directly to the backing plate and The USDM calipers mount to a bracket which is mounted to the backing plate. The bolt spacing is different, one to the other.

I'm going to do the 'H6' rear conversion on my car as soon as I get the correct caliper brackets(tomorrow I hope!). I bought the DBA 657 rotors to use.
This is, IMHO the most cost effective way to increase rear braking.
I have the 4-pot fronts already with DBA 4000's and it's gonna look good behind my SSR's.
