Pad/rotor recommendations?

Hey, all....

I'm about to do the pad change on my car, and I was thinking that it would be best to change the rotors at the same time. I basically use the car for aggressive street driving, and I want to spend a minimum on front pads and rotors that will increase performance a bit at the same time.

Does anyone have suggestions or experience with an inexpensive setup that does the trick? Thanks in advance...

I heard good things about DBA. They should be inexpensive as well.

i've heard dba's may warp under extreme heat... just be careful.
but i've also heard they are pretty good... so.. yeah
i used powerstop for a while... those are a little better than stock, but comparable.
as for pads, i liked axxis ultimates, but they are dusty

There are seveal brands you can choose, Power Slot, DBA, Power Stop or go w/ the STi rotors.
As for me, I went w/ the STi 4 piston front setup w/ Axxis ultimate pads along w/ goodridge SS lines.

i am still on stock myself (~50k miles). but I've done rotor/pad change on my sister's car using Axxis/StopTech combo. Her car doesn't have as much power as subies, but still noticeable better stopping power compare to her stock pads and rotors. I was going to get DBA for her, but the vendor did not have any in stock and her rotors were warped...

You'll find the DBA slotted to be a great fast road application, yes there are horror stories of them warping under extreme track conditions which is of little surprise to me - they are after all a inexpensive fast road solution (DBA have rotors for serious track use and they work great!!)

Pagid, Ferodo and Hawk all make reasonable priced pads that work well and in my opinion are a little better than the Axxis.

If you would like to go exotic you can follow Alex's (Imprezer) lead although for the price there are some other decent options.

I don't really see myself getting any heavy track time here in small-town New England, so I'm not too worried about any warping. Basically, I'm in need of pads, and figured a rotor upgrade and stronger than stock pad couldn't hurt.

Thanks for the help!
