Odd camber issue...need input

O.k. So I have a 2004 wrx wagon. I am running v7 Spec C struts. Pink Wagon springs and 2004 top hats. Camber bolt in the back.

Previous to this I was running my stock wagon struts and top hats with the pink springs. When I ran that I got -1.3 in the front and ran -.6 in the back.

Well I took it in this time and the most they could get for me out of the front was
-.25 in the front...less than stock. So I'm currently running a very close to stock spec set up of -.25 in the front and -1.3 in the back. Fine for driving around. Won't get tire wear etc. But for cornering I"m gonna push and it's gonna **** me off eventually.

We tried everything. The only fixes I and the few suspension guru's I contacted could come up with are.....

Camber bolts for the front. That will hopefully get me to as close to -1.5 as possible in the front. I'll hopefully keep the back somewhere between -.9 and -1.3. Zero toe.

RCE Camber plates.

That's pretty much it for my options and still run these struts. I can't do camber plates right now because of financial issues. I just got married. As it is the bolt is gonna suck because I'll have to pay for another alignment and still not know if it's gonna work.

So...any input. Anyone heard of this before? fixes? etc.

this makes me laugh.

I posted this exact post on wrxfanatics and got posts almost immediately. Here...nothing. Tech is a deadzone on i-club.

I had the same thing happen, but with the rears and the camber bolts did help get it alligned properly.

I have learned that you have to post everything in the area thread for people to respond. The one downfall of I-club.

What shop is and/or has been performing alignment work on your vehicle?

Can you recall hitting any particularly nasty potholes or objects in the road lately?

I have an '04 STi w/stock struts, JDM pink springs, Group N strut mounts front and rear, aftermarket camber bolts (Specialty Products Company) front and rear, and Pleasure Racing Services roll center adapters (extended-length front ball joints for lowered vehicles-they help reduce "bumpsteer").

I have always had Roger Kraus Racing ( www.rogerkrausracing.com ) perform all alignment and suspension work on my STi, and in addition to performing top-quality work, they are also very friendly and helpful people.

FWIW I'm currently running -1.7* camber up front, -1.0 camber in the rear, and zero toe all around, and I'm very happy with this setup.

I definately recommend installing the aftermarket camber bolts up front, I think that you'll get your desired results.

Good luck!
