Newbie question on END LINKS

Newbie question on END LINKS

will i need end links for the front ANNNNND the rear for my sway bars?

you have endlinks already, you can run the stock ones if you want.

People will say that you'll break your stock ones, but I did a few AutoX's with a cusco sway bar and stock endlinks with no problem. This is all on the rear btw.

okay, say if i wasnt going to stick with the stock endlinks and perhaps my stock ones didn't last, would i needa get endlinks for BOTH front, and rear? or just the rear? imnot sure whether if the endlink are only for the rear or for the both. thenx guys. sorry for the newbie question.

More in the rear...

The general consensus when attempting to control the "roll" of your car and the understeer inherent with all-wheel drive vehicles is to stiffen up the rear.

If you have an STI, the front roll bar works fine with the stock endlinks...I added a Perrin rear sway bar and Perrin endlinks for the back end. I noticed after installing it and setting it to the lower of two settings, that my roll reduced dramatically and I felt a "neutral" not much under or over-steer...

I then set it on the stiffer of the settings (the STI specific rsb only has two settings)...I felt it added a little over-steer but in my mind stayed fairly neutral once again...but this time with even less roll...I kept it on this setting.

Realize though that this is with a 04 STI with Espelir ASD springs...the springs together with the rsb dramatically changed the way my car handles...in my mind...a positive change.

If you only plan to do some spirited driving and some auto X I doubt you would ever break the fronts or rears. The rears will stiffen the rear more than the oe plastic links but the front links don’t need to be upgraded unless you plan on some serious racing. I installed a 22mm adjustable Cusco RSB with the oe links and I dont plan on buying new end links until the rest of my suspension is done.
