Need to Lower Vehicle...do I need Adjustment Hardware?

Hi Everyone,

I see that there are many people on the board that purchased lowering springs such as the S-Tech, H-Techs, Pro-Drive...

I am looking into doing the same. I have a 2004 STI with 18x8 Rims, 225x40x18 Tires. I recently took the car in to get aligned (boy was the front end off from factory specs!)

I want to lower and level out the car...

When I inquired about lowering the car, the Alignment technician told me that I needed some sort of adjustment (Camber? Castor?) device. He said that he could not really adjust the front end much more if any if I lowered the car.

I know most coil-overs have adjustment screws on the top of the struts...what is everyone doing when they lower their cars using stock struts and lowering springs?

Any optimal Alignment settings for spirited driving/occasional autocross/tire longevity? Curious to see what everyone is using. I think the tech set mine up at 0 degrees camber up front and -1.25 in the rears...

Thanks in advance,

Brent
