need help with stance coilover adjustment
I bought a used set for my sti. I am trying to raise the rear but I'm having trouble figuring it out. It has the locking nut the bottom one so I loosed it to where it is higher. Is that correct? Iam trying to raise it.

What year car do you have? If it is a MacPherson style strut, you would loosen the bottom locking thing and twist the shock body. (If you are trying to raise the car, you want to twist the body that the lower part of the shock sits lower on the shock body.) It usually helps if you loosen the top nut on the coilover, also. I don't think that really makes sense, but hope that helps. It's pretty easy.
the middle ones are for preload. There should be 2 stacked on top of each other right? Loosen the lower one by turning it clockwise. This unlocks the perches from each other. Then adjust preload by turning the perch that is touching the bottom of the spring counterclock wise. Spin the locking perch back up so they are stacked against each other and make sure they are tight

I've never had to. naywong has a pretty good description. Once you loosen the perches, the only thing you really have to do is twist the shock body. Like... grab the coilover where the treads are and twist one direction and you'll notice that the mounting point between the coilover and hub will either go up the shock or down the shock. You want it to travel down the shock.
