coilover adjustment help

coilover adjustment help

hi i just bought a bugeye that was lowered on some D2 coils, if anyone could tell me how to adjust/ raise it back up so i can get a safety/ recon check i would really appreciate it thankx

Usually you just adjust the lower pitch. I would try to.... raise the vehicle, Off with the tires, loosen the lower collar lock but only the slightest amount so its not locked on there(so you can have a visual starting point to measure from and apply the same to the other side, and twist the whole shock portion until the desired ride height. You might have to use one of the 2 upp spring perch collars to do this. Which ever one doesnt losen the spring perch but gives enough force to rotate the entire shock...... OR JUST remove from your hub(there goes your alignment) and twist the lower part to desired height and apply to the other side... then go get a new alignment.

thankx for the reply and the information PSbeachbum ,so do i have to disconect/un bolt the rotor to twist the shock?

Just losen the lower collar and use leverage on the upper spring locks to rotate the whole assembly.

Thankx alot guys for the info nd sry bout the noobish question this is jus the first car i own and the first mod i will be doing too ... From what i gathered i only unlock the bottom nut and rotate the whole shock? And i dont mess with the top two nuts that hold the spring?

No offense dude, but if you can't figure it out by simply looking at it, you shouldn't be wrenching on a car that will see public roads.
