You've got to do the measurements to see if it will work. There is more to measure than rotor diameter. The hat depth determines where the rotor is located axially. You can substitute rotors if they have the same diameter and offset.
If you are changing rotor diameter, you need to change caliper brackets as well. But the real problem is your changing the bias quite a bit by changing the rotor diameter.

Don't forget about rotor thickness and pad height.
There is so much more to improving braking performance that piecing together a group of random brake parts. Let me rephrase that by saying that it is very difficult to build a brake system from scratch (including calipers) that will outperform stock WRX brakes, and next to impossible to build one from scratch that will outperform a kit that has been purpose built by automotive engineers who have been innovators in the braking field for multiple decades. I don't by any means intend to be snobbish, but I know for a fact that most people have absolutely no clue how much thought goes into every tiny little detail of our kits.
ac64drew, do you mind if I ask why you would want to use AP calipers with StopTech rotors?
As a final note, our AeroRotors will mount to Brembo hats that don't use the inner diameter of the mounting tabs on the rotor as a register to locate the rotor. AeroRotors are NOT compatible with AP or Alcon parts.
