Messed up steering rack?

I've noticed that my steering wheel turns more to the right than to the left. When turned all the way left, it stops at 2.5-2.6 turns, like it should. Turning all the way right doesn't stop until something like 2.75, maybe more. I am worried about stretching boots and tie rods too much if I have the wheel all the way to the right in rough conditions- bumpy, driving fast, full suspension travel. Is there a way to fix this problem or do I have a busted steering rack? It has never acted strangely while cornering or anything, just goes too far one way...
Thanks

Steering wheel is centered fine and the car has been realigned a few times like this- no mechanics ever seem to notice or something...drives straight and everything, no pulling.
I don't know if the wheels actually turn more one way than the other but I imagine they do cause the car does turn a bit sharper when it's all the to the right instead of at 2.5 turns. The wheel also almost keeps pulling past 2.5 turns- meaning I feel it trying to keep going and have to hold it. It doesn't pull hard, but enough to notice. I try not to ever pass 2.5 when I can but I'm sure I would hit full lock if in a panic situation or just trying to reacty quickly.
