WTB: Cheap WRX or STI steering rack or just the hard lines

Hey everyone. I picked up a free '05 STI rack with a bent tie rod, and no hydraulic hard lines on it. I've fixed the tie rod, but I still need to find the metal hydraulic lines that attach to the steering rack. If anyone has some spare ones available from other projects, or an old WRX or STI rack for cheap, let me know.

Thanks!

That's a thought. Anyone have an old, cheap WRX rack for sale? I know the lines would need some bending, and modification to fit the STI rack. I'd like to keep my stock rack fully intact in case I need to go back later.

They make those? Although, when I broke mine, my dad recommended me taking them to a hose guy and getting some custom made.

He said I can get some stainless steel braided lines made.

He is 100% correct. Either get them made at ATP, Summit Racing, or a local auto parts store.

P&L makes a stainless replacement line complete with the adapters you need to hook it to the power steering pump and the rack. The fittings are just MM to -AN adapters, although I am not sure exactly what the MM size and thread pitch is...but I have one on the engine stand so I will check and get back to you.

I would have to look at the return line to the power steering pump as it may just be a clamp on deal with no fitting.

Thanks for the info! I didn't even know that was an option. Any other details about where and how much to get these made would be greatly appreciated. I'll be sure do do a write up when I get this figured out and installed.
