hi, first up, i have a 98 rs. im thinking of getting the kyb agx struts... wondering if i can keep the springs that are there (stock?) with the new struts ? .....and, lol, ....can i cut a half inch ( ill try to figure out how much exactly later) off the bottom of the spring to lower it a tad ??? if its stock, is it a progresive rate spring ? ...i might be talking out of my ***, but im trying to get by with very limited funds. thanks for all your help, later.

 

the struts should work, i wouldnt recommend cutting ur springs. the ride quality would go down hill. look on ebay for a cheap set

 

They should work with the springs you have but DO NOT cut them. The springs were engineered for that specific car and it's weight, cutting them will cause poor ride as well as a possible failure and improper seating of the spring on the strut.

 

there will be no cutting ...lol. thanks. ill probably just keep the springs i have on there now... any ideas on cheap springs that would lower it a bit ??
