KYB AGX's

is it true that KYB is coming out with struts that will fit the 2002+ WRX? If so, does anyone know when their coming out and what price range...Thanks.
I was planning on getting some eibach springs but if the KYB's are coming out I'll just save up and get both at the same time.

I believe that they are already out. I remember someone posting saying that they have it on their WRX already. I am not sure if it is on NASIOC or here. But I do remember reading about it.

I would recommend that you go with the STI setup that is available through dealers if you can afford it. That setup will be much better than the KYB setup because the STI struts are built by KYB but manufactured to STI specs and they are much much beefier than any KYB offers for aftermarket struts.

According to their website, KYB doesn't have anything available for the WRX yet. They also don't differentiate between Impreza and WRX or WRX sedan and wagon for that matter. It would seem logical that if they're already making the STi parts that they would have all the specs they need to build one for themselves. Perhaps when they agreed to make the STi units they also agreed not to produce AGXs themselves for a certain period of time as well.

Anyhow, they didn't list a future release date for the WRX AGX but I'm sure they're either working on it or waiting until the date they can legally sell them according to the contract they signed with STi. (conspiracy theory any one? )

KYB will list the WRX in their 2003 catalogue. Spoke to Trevor at KYB tech yesterday and he said the struts will be available "around springtime".

I emailed them a few months ago. Yes they are coming out. No they aren't out yet unles you retrofit the GC8's. They will be about the same price as the current AGX's. I have the email somewhere that says they are in testing right now and they are shooting for springtime. (March/April I hope)

Doubt that these are "WRX specific". Bet they are for 93-01 Impreza.
