Installing sedan swaybar on wagon?
A friend and I tried to install my stock rear WRX sedan swaybar onto his WRX wagon. His rear bar barely showed daylight between it and the exhaust pipe it passes over. The increased diameter of my bar caused it to make solid contact with the pipe. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there an easy solution?
What is the exhaust setup??
Maybe Whiteline Heavy Duty sway bar mounts are the key, they seem to extend the bar lower. contact MPJ at www.mpjperformance.com for more information on those.
I think you're really gonna have to look at that exhaust.
Also, rear endlinks might be a solution... as most aftermarket endlinks are longer than the OEMs
might drop the bar a little lower too.

a good for you to do also is to look at the Bay area chapter... look up the meet on saturday at Vishnu, that's really close to you.
You can get a whole **** load of opinions there from others.

That's fairly strange, I had a sedan RSB on my wagon for a while and it never once came into contact with the exhaust. I am now running a Cusco 22mm ARSB set on 24mm and still have not had any problems. I do, however have a custom 2.75" straight pipe catback. IIRC, I had the stock setup when I had the sedan RSB though. What suspension setup is your friend running? Lowering springs? I'll take a peek under my car later today and see what I can come up with.
